Short-Term Mission

To recruit mentors to support older youth in foster care as they prepare to "age out" of the foster care system and transition into independent living situations.

Long-Term Mission

To have a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable youth in Charlotte by pairing them with a mentor as they prepare to transition out of the foster care system and into adulthood.

Too many kids in the United States are growing up in foster care, without permanent parents.

Without a committed relationship with an adult they are at great risk to crime and homelessness, lack of education, underemployment, and teen pregnancy. Each year, 26,000 youth emancipate from foster care without the family support, education and community relationships that help them make successful transitions to adulthood.
